EarnShift

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

EarnShift helps you record work shifts and estimate pay. Your work records are stored on your device. The app uses Google Mobile Ads, offers an optional purchase to remove ads, and can send usage and crash diagnostics to Google Firebase if you enable that option.

Who is responsible

EarnShift is developed by Valerii Uskov. For privacy questions or requests, contact mydigitalnest.apps@gmail.com.

Work records and preferences

The app stores the information you enter about your job, pay terms, currency, shifts, breaks, notes, pay periods and payslip comparisons in its private storage on your device. We do not operate a server that receives those records and do not send their contents to Firebase as custom analytics events.

You can export shift data to CSV or save a portable backup file. You choose where to save or share those files; their contents may then be accessible to the service or person you choose. Your device's Android backup settings may also allow the operating system to back up and restore app data.

For currency conversion, the app may request published exchange rates from the European Central Bank or Frankfurter. A fallback request can include currency codes and a date range derived from your shifts, but not your wages, notes or full shift records. Those providers may receive ordinary network information such as your IP address.

Optional usage and crash diagnostics

Google Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics are present in the app, but their data collection is off by default. If you turn on Share usage and crash reports in EarnShift, Analytics receives names of app actions such as starting or completing a shift. Our custom events do not include the hours, rates, dates, notes or payslip amounts you enter. Firebase may also collect standard app, device and usage information. Crashlytics receives technical crash information, such as stack traces and app or device details, to help us fix errors.

You can turn this option off at any time in the app. This stops future diagnostics collection; Crashlytics changes may take effect after the next app launch. Reports already sent may remain in Firebase according to its retention settings. See Privacy and Security in Firebase for more about Google's processing.

Ads, purchases and ad privacy

EarnShift uses Google Mobile Ads to show banner and full-screen ads. Google's User Messaging Platform requests and manages ad privacy choices where required before the app requests ads. These Google services may process technical data such as app and device identifiers, network information and consent choices for ad delivery, measurement and privacy compliance. You can change your ad privacy choices in the app when that option is required. See Google's Privacy Policy for details of Google's processing.

You can make a one-time in-app purchase through Google Play to remove ads. Google Play handles the transaction and purchase records; EarnShift checks and stores whether your Google Play account owns the ad-free purchase. We do not receive your payment card details. Once the purchase is confirmed, the app stops requesting ads.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, EarnShift uses them to show the status of an active shift. This does not require you to share your work records with us.

Retention, deletion and your choices

Your work records stay in the app until you clear the app's data or uninstall it. Files you exported and Android backups, if enabled, are managed separately in the location or service where they were saved. Optional diagnostics already sent to Google are retained under the settings of the relevant Firebase project and Google's service terms. Google Play manages purchase records under its own policies. You can withdraw future diagnostics sharing in the app and ask us about available deletion options by emailing mydigitalnest.apps@gmail.com.
